Baltika is negotiating the purchase of “Bulgarpivo” and “Bouquet of Chuvashia” breweries

Baltika Brewing Company is negotiating the acquisition of Bulgarpivo brewery in Tatarstan and Bouquet of Chuvashia in Chuvashia. The deal is estimated at 3 billion rubles, and although Baltika has not yet commented on the deal, experts believe that the purchase of plants logically fits into the company’s strategy. According to analysts, the Naberezhnye Chelny brewery “Bulgarpivo” is worth about 700 million rubles, and 100% of the shares of “Bouquet of Chuvashia” are estimated at about 2 billion rubles. One of the factors of interest in the “Bouquet of Chuvashia” is the availability of its own malt production facilities.

According to sources, the deal is already being approved by the FAS. It is noted that Baltika continues to increase its share in the Russian market, where it owns about 25% of beer capacity. The Bulgarpivo and Bouquet of Chuvashia plants will add another 0.4% and 0.6% to these capacities, respectively. At the moment, Bulgarpivo is in a difficult financial situation, and in December 2023, a bankruptcy case was filed against the company due to debts to the tax service.
